What is Erasmus+ Staff Mobility?

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility enables FSMVU academic and administrative personnel to conduct short-term teaching or training activities at higher education institutions or eligible organisations abroad. The programme enhances professional development, builds academic networks, and strengthens the University’s internationalisation strategy.

Types of Mobility

STA – Staff Mobility for Teaching

Academic staff may deliver lectures, seminars or joint educational activities at partner institutions abroad. A minimum of 8 teaching hours per week (or proportional for shorter stays) is required.

STT – Staff Mobility for Training

Academic and administrative staff may participate in structured training programmes, job shadowing, observation visits or skill-based workshops abroad. Conferences are not eligible.

KA131 vs KA171 — What is the Difference?

  • KA131 (Programme Countries): Mobility with EU member states and programme countries. Standard Erasmus framework and grant rules apply.
  • KA171 (International Credit Mobility – Partner Countries): Mobility with non-EU partner countries under project-based funding. Not all countries are eligible every year.

Both actions support Teaching (STA) and Training (STT), but grant rules, application quotas and regional priorities may differ.

Who Can Apply?

  • Full-time academic staff
  • Full-time administrative staff
  • Applicants must meet requirements stated in the annual Erasmus call

Erasmus+ allows mobilities between 2–60 days (excluding travel). FSMVU provides funding for up to 5 working days + 2 travel days, even if the physical stay is longer.

Daily grant amounts and travel support rates are determined annually by the Turkish National Agency.
