KA171 Erasmus Student Mobility for Studies

KA171 Erasmus Program enables universities to conduct an exchange program with the countries beyond Europe under Erasmus+ Program.  Exchange students have the chance to receive financial support within the programme and study abroad for 1 or 2 semesters.

Duration

Students can study between 3 to 12 months abroad or at least a full academic term.


Application Criteria

All enrolled bachelor, masters and doctoral students regardless of their nationality are eligible to apply for an Erasmus study mobility. Students can apply through the International Programs Office and selection processes are fair to everyone.  The following criteria and weighted points apply when assessing applications: Academic achievement: 50% & Language score: 50%

Applicants must be registered at FSMVU as full-degree students at the time of application.
Applicants must complete at least one semester at FSMVU.
Undergraduate students can participate in the program during their undergraduate studies, master and PhD students can participate in the program during their thesis phase. During the course selection, 30 ECTS credits for 1 semester and 60 ECTS credits for 1 year are to be aimed. The objective success is when the student collects 2/3 of the credits of the courses he/she takes. Master and PhD students can work on their thesis or enroll for seminar/project course or other related courses at the partner university to fulfill the 30 ECTS credits.


Requirements

Undergraduate students who are considering to apply for traineeship program should have at least 2,20 CGPA and graduate students should have at least 2,50 CGPA over 4,0.
English Proficiency Criteria: TOEFL/YDS/ YÖKDİL (if available)
English Proficiency Exam for Exchange Programs takes place after the online application period has ended.


Financial Support

Monthly grant and travel grant are available for the selected students.

It is possible to participate in Erasmus student mobility programme without grant. Those students who would like to participate in the programme without grant need to make application and their applications need to be evaluated as the others.

Students may be awarded an Erasmus grant to help cover the travel and subsistence costs incurred in connection with their study period abroad. Erasmus students - whether or not they receive an Erasmus grant - are exempted from paying fees for tuition, registration, examinations, and access to laboratory and library facilities at the host institution.
