Application Process
Welcome to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University (FSMVU) — one of Istanbul’s leading universities combining academic excellence and cultural diversity. We are excited to welcome international exchange students who wish to study and experience life in Istanbul.
Overview
Each incoming student must be nominated by their home university within the scope of a valid bilateral agreement for the relevant faculty or department at FSMVU. Once the nomination is received, the International Programs Unit (IPU) will guide the applicant through every step of the process, including document submission and acceptance.
Application Procedure
The home university coordinator must send a nomination email to IPU containing:
- Name of the institution
- Full name and contact information of the student
- Field of study
- Intended mobility period (Fall, Spring, or full academic year)
After nomination, students must complete and email the following documents to erasmus@fsm.edu.tr:
- Student Application Form
- Learning Agreement (signed by home coordinator)
- Copy of Passport
- Student Certificate (in English)
- Confirmation Letter from home university
After Submission
Once the application is reviewed, the International Exchange Coordinator and the International Programs Unit (IPU) issue the Letter of Acceptance to the student’s home institution.
