What is Erasmus+ Internship Mobility?
Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships, etc) abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme countries at Bachelor and Master level as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates. (Applicants must be registered at FSMVU as full-degree students at the time of application). Students can work (full time) for a business or organization in a Program Country, receiving professional training and/or work experience in their area of study. It aims to develop the students’ work experience.
Duration
Traineeship abroad can last from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months at each education level. Students applying for internships during their studies can only be considered for an internship award during a period when they will not miss out on any classes and/or academic requirement
Finding internship placement
Students can only apply for an internship that is related to their field of studies.
The receiving organization may be in public, private, non-profit or educational sector:
- Any public or private organization active in the labour market or in the fields of education, training and youth:
- a public or private, a small, medium or large enterprise (including social enterprises);
- a public body at local, regional or national level; – a social partner or other representatives of working life, including chambers of commerce, craft/professional associations and trade unions;
- a research institute;
- a foundation;
- a school/institute/educational centre (at any level, from pre-school to upper – secondary education, and including vocational education and adult education);
- a non-profit organization, association;
- a body providing career guidance, professional counselling and information services;
- a Program Country Higher Education Institution awarded with an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.
Application Criteria
All enrolled bachelor, masters and doctoral students regardless of their nationality are eligible to apply for an Erasmus internship. Students can apply through the International Programs Office and selection processes are fair to everyone. The following criteria and weighted points apply when assessing applications: Academic achievement: 50% & Language score: 50%

During the applications, applicants will be asked to submit an acceptance letter to the system.
- dates & field of study of the traineeship - name of the institution where the traineeship will take place
- name and function of the person who signs the letter.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students who are considering to apply for traineeship program should have at least 2,20 CGPA and graduate students should have at least 2,50 CGPA over 4,0.
- English Proficiency Criteria: TOEFL/YDS/ YÖKDİL (if available)
English Proficiency Exam for Exchange Programs takes place after the online application period has ended.
Financial Support
Monthly Grant for Internship Mobility
The grant will be paid in two instalments: 80% pre-financing upon the signature of the grant contract. 20% is transferred at the end of the internship period, pending on receipt by the International Programs Office of all documentation and the submission of the online EU survey. All payments are processed through bank transfer in EUR.
